Before You Join
Things to Know Before Joining
Company Laptop
Saeloun provides a company laptop to full-time employees.
Important details:
- The company typically provides an Apple MacBook Pro with configuration suitable for the employee's role.
- Laptop delivery may take time depending on procurement and logistics.
- In some cases, employees may need to use their personal laptop temporarily until the company laptop is delivered.
- Laptop coordination and delivery will be managed by Sonam.
Internet & Phone Reimbursement
Currently, Saeloun does not provide reimbursement for internet or phone expenses.
Employees are expected to ensure they have reliable connectivity for remote work.
Day One
Preparing for Your First Day
To ensure a smooth start, please prepare the following before your first day.
Profile Picture
A professional profile picture is required because it is used across multiple tools including:
- Slack
- GitHub
- Company website
Guidelines for the photo:
- Solid background
- Face clearly visible
- Photo should include only head and upper chest
- Look straight at the camera
- Avoid side profiles
- No avatars or illustrations
You do not need professional photography. A clear phone photo with a simple background is sufficient.
Please ensure this is ready before your first day.
Headphones
Since most meetings occur online, good audio quality is essential.
Employees should use high-quality headphones with a microphone when attending calls.
Avoid using the built-in laptop microphone because it often causes:
- Poor audio quality
- Echo during meetings
Meetings commonly take place using:
- Slack
- Zoom
- Google Meet
A good headset helps ensure smooth communication during meetings with teammates and clients.
