Handbook

Work Culture

Saeloun is built on flexibility, trust, and sustainable collaboration. This page explains the expectations that help remote teams work well together.

Ways of Working

Flexible Working Hours

Saeloun supports flexible working hours. Team members are free to structure their workday at times when they are most productive.

However, collaboration is an important part of our work, so the following expectations apply:

  • Team members must attend daily standups and scheduled team meetings.
  • Work schedules must allow coordination with project teammates.
  • There should be at least 4 hours of overlap with the client's working hours.

Example

If a client operates in the EST timezone, employees should ensure a minimum of 4 hours of overlap with that timezone.

Flexibility works when teams communicate clearly and respect project commitments.

Remote First

Remote Work

Saeloun operates as a remote-first company.

Working remotely offers flexibility but also requires discipline and communication.

Unlike product companies, consulting companies often work according to client schedules, which means:

  • Client meetings may occasionally occur outside regular working hours.
  • Team members must be flexible when coordinating with international clients.
  • Professional communication and reliability are essential.

Employees are expected to maintain:

  • A stable internet connection
  • A professional workspace
  • Availability for scheduled meetings
  • Clear communication with the team

Wellbeing

Life Comes Before Work

At Saeloun, we strongly believe that people come before work.

Our team members are dedicated professionals, but long-term sustainability and wellbeing matter more than short-term productivity.

We encourage employees to:

  • Take vacations when needed
  • Prioritize family events and personal responsibilities
  • Take time off if feeling mentally or physically exhausted
  • Maintain a healthy work-life balance

Examples:

  • If there is a family wedding or major personal event, team members should feel comfortable taking extended leave.
  • If you are feeling unproductive or overwhelmed, take time off and reset.

We also encourage team members to:

  • Say no to weekend work unless absolutely necessary
  • Set clear communication boundaries with clients
  • Avoid burnout from excessive overtime

Our goal is to build a company where people can sustain a long and healthy career.
